Beef Gravy
Classic beef gravy for your mashed potatoes or Yorkshire pudding.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 tablespoons beef drippings
  • 2-3 tablespoons flour
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup beef stock (or water), more as needed

Directions

In the roasting pan whisk flour into beef drippings over high heat. If That's not possible use a sauce pan and make a rue with the beef drippings and flour. Stir in beef stock, salt and pepper (if needed) and bring to a boil. Add more beef stock or water if necessary to thin gravy, and serve immediately.
