Macerated Strawberries
Fresh strawberrys in a sweet red wine sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 pints strawberries, sliced
  • 750 milliliters red wine
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

In a bowl combine all ingredients. Let stand in refrigerator for 2 hours. Spoon into dessert bowls, capturing some of the juice, and top with whipped cream.
