Penne and Basil
Fresh basil, olive oil and parmesan cheese over penne pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Penne pasta
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions. In a skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in basil; cook and stir for one minute. Drain pasta; add to basil and onion. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
